Tuesday Buggy Night Continues...
Scott Cole got a Mendeola for his car, and has been working on installing it and making some upgrades t o the rear suspension of his car.
Even though we no longer have access to the high school on Tuesday nights, buggy night still continues on.  We have been meeting at the Executive Elevator shop where John and Scott have made room for the usual buggy projects.
We have been working on transmissions as well, and nice ones at that.  We took apart Dean's Mendeola to fix reverse and took apart Walt's Megasand to find that he had sheared the pinion shaft.
Look at the size of the Mendeola ring gear.  That is a five gallon bucket that it is sitting in.
Here we are heating the Mendeola case to re-install the pinion bearing carrier.  It is a tight fit, so you gotta get it HOT!
John and Scott can do anything, as evidenced by the night they literally cracked open a safe...
Here's P.J. salvaging some elevator parts for Allison's Jeep.  It just seems so appropriate that it will be made using Elevator parts, it runs in the family.  This will be used on a Power Wheels Jeep that dad is making into an RC car so she can ride in it before she's big enough to drive.
Check back soon for more updates as the sand season arrives.
